Dear Steve,

You may not even know me, as I am fairly new to the Cather group, but I wanted to thank you for sending on this information, sad as it is.  I had lovely talks with Nancy last year at the Red Cloud conference, particularly as we stood outside the Aunt Franc Cather home and walked through the yard . . . she was commenting then on feeling tired, one of the symptoms (I now know) of the leukemia. She was an absolutely lovely person, and I was looking forward to many years of Cather chats with her. I will certainly send a note to her family--thank you for including the information.
